GREy provide features for UAS pilots and aviation authorities that helps perform risk assessment

Obtaining UAS flight permit involves execution of Risk Analysis. Gathering and fusing data required for reliable process is laborious and time consuming. GREy provides easy to use web portal with SORA/PDRA/STS/N-STS compliant tools and pre-compiled geo-data repository. GREy team continuously searches for more accurate and up-to-date geo-datasets and blends it into the core repository. GREy tools allow checking flight trajectory against geo-data repository in terms of extended vertical profile as well as population and risk heatmap with built-in accountability mechanisms.
GREy offer highly scalable access to DTM/DSM models, required by CIS and USSP for assessing Strategic Flight Plan Process, as well as support for CARS (Common Altitude Reference System). GREy analytics allow checking flight path against geo-data repository in terms of extended vertical profile as well as population and risk heatmap with built-in accountability mechanisms. Complete and detailed geo-data repository allows performing ad-hoc spatial analysis required in nonstandard situations.

Elevation statistics

GREy provides statistics for any given polygon:

  • minimum AMSL height

  • maximum AMSL height

  • available via user interface and API

DSM on demand

GREy provides functionality of extracting and downloading DSM data for any given polygon:

  • defining polygon

  • downloading in single GeoTIFF

  • compatible with most GIS software (e.g. QGIS)

  • Resolution depends to availability for a given area

Enhanced Vertical Navigation Profile (EVNP)

GREy provides elevation profile for a given flight route:

  • elevation at exact flight route

  • max elevation at contingency buffer

  • min elevation at contingency buffer

  • slender obstacles

  • adjustable contingency radius

  • adjustable sampling step

  • downloadable CSV data export

Risk assessment report

GREy provides pdf report for a given flight route consisting following:

  • information about used data accuracy and up-to-dateness

  • flight plan map

  • Enhanced Vertical Navigation Profile and terrain proximity map including slender obstacles

  • iGRC calculation for entire route and individual legs

  • risk heat map analysis (experimental)

  • community DSM data comparison (generated for area where community data exists)
